With a shared passion for improving health and health care, the scientific teams at Kaiser Permanente Washington Health Research Institute (KPWHRI) are led by researchers who have graduate training and experience in medicine, psychology, epidemiology, biostatistics, economics, anthropology, and other relevant disciplines. Nationally recognized for rigorous and innovative methods, our researchers work in interdisciplinary teams across 4 divisions:
Many of our researchers have secondary appointments at the University of Washington, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center, Kaiser Permanente Bernard J. Tyson School of Medicine, and other academic institutions, contributing to teaching and research there. They also help train tomorrow’s scientific leaders, including postdoctoral fellows.
We are also proud to collaborate regularly with many affiliate investigators whose primary appointment is at other institutions.
